Fall is here! ¡El otoño ya está aquí!

November is upon us! Cooler weather, rainfall, and colorful leaves remind us of the goodness of God every day. Take a moment and get these additional dates into your calendar so you don’t miss any special fall events as we lead into the Advent Season. (Remember this is in addition, as all the regularly scheduled weekly Bible Studies and gatherings are still on. Check out the calendar for dates and times of ALL events at Saint Andrew.)

• NOW is the time to turn in your photo and details about your service men and women for our Veteran’s Day Remembrance Video. Give printed photos and bios to the church office or submit them electronically to tech@standrewgmc.us
• 2nd Saturday Serve, Nov 9th – 9 AM @ Coffee Area – This is time to go out for Mission of the Month Outreach or stay in for church beautification projects. (December will have no 2nd Saturday Serve Projects.)
• Packed Operation Christmas Child Boxes will be prayed over and sent. Don’t miss Sunday, November 10th as we pray together over this mission project. Â
• Administrative Council Meeting is Tuesday, Nov 12 – 6 PM

• Nov 18th – 1PM Men’s 42 Domino Game in the Coffee Area
• Nov 21st, Thursday, at 10 am the Interchurch Prayer Group is meeting at First Presbyterian at 401 N. Madison. This prayer meeting is followed by a light lunch.
• Nov 30th – 9 AM come ready to Deck the Halls as we prepare our church for Advent. This will be followed by Pizza for all those who come volunteer. Many hands make light work!
• Nov 30th – 1:30 PM the women are hosting a Christmas Cookie Exchange: Bring Cookies and Take Cookies. This is a social opportunity to get to know one another better and invite your friends. Plan ahead now to baking your favorite Christmas Cookies for this cookie exchange. Â

December – Advent Season each Sunday has a special theme: Hope, Peace, Joy, & Love concluding with Christmas Eve Services Tuesday Dec 24 – 6 PM

For those who lost loved ones or find Christmas to be a hard time, plan to come Sunday Night, December 22nd for a special worship service – Blue Christmas.

¡Noviembre está sobre nosotros! El clima más fresco, las lluvias y las hojas coloridas nos recuerdan la bondad de Dios todos los días. • Las Cajas Infantiles de Operación Navidad empacadas serán oradas y enviadas. No te pierdas el domingo 10 de noviembre mientras oramos juntos por este proyecto misionero.
• La reunión del Consejo Administrativo es el martes 12 de noviembre a las 6 p.m.

• 30 de noviembre a las 9 a. m., prepárese para decorar los pasillos mientras preparamos nuestra iglesia para el Adviento. A esto le seguirá Pizza para todos aquellos que vengan voluntarios. ¡Muchas manos facilitan el trabajo!
• Del 30 de noviembre a la 1:30 p. m., las mujeres organizarán un intercambio de galletas navideñas: trae galletas y llévate galletas. Esta es una oportunidad social para conocerse mejor e invitar a tus amigos. Planifique con anticipación cómo hornear sus galletas navideñas favoritas para este intercambio de galletas.

Diciembre: la temporada de Adviento cada domingo tiene un tema especial: esperanza, paz, alegría y amor y concluye con los servicios de Nochebuena el martes 24 de diciembre a las 6 p.m.

Para aquellos que perdieron a sus seres queridos o consideran que la Navidad es una época difícil, planeen venir el domingo 22 de diciembre por la noche para un servicio de adoración especial: Navidad azul.
